Weekly Round-up – Audible Style

While I will always choose real books over audiobooks, I have found myself gravitating towards audio books for my commute. Since the storm, we have lost almost every radio station except maybe 2, and Sirius XM radio was very unreliable, I decided to give Audible a shot. The only thing I am not liking is that my iPhone cannot make purchases through the app, I have to actually go to the website and download from there.

Here is a list of what I have “read” and what is on my wish list…and which book I plan on using my monthly credit on for February!

• Following in the steps of Beautiful Boy by David Sheff, I listened to his son, Nic Sheff on how his addiction affect his life. It was interesting to hear both sides of this story.

• I am currently listening to The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd. I still have 9 hours of listening time left, but let my tell you…this review will be coming. Ah. Maze. Ing. And so eye opening. (And the narrators of this book make it even better to listen to.)

• With an Audible subscription, I get two Audible Originals a month. There was only one I really found intriguing for January, and it is narrated by the one and only Diane Lane

• I get one credit a month to use on any book I want. I am debating between two stories that have been on my Goodreads To Read List for awhile; The Broken Girls or Sold on a Monday

• There are few more audiobooks on my Wish List that have been on my radar for awhile. I am hoping to keep adding to that list! My daily commute is a lot more tolerable having some great books to listen to.

What are some of your favorite audiobooks? If you are not one who listens to audiobooks, what are some of your favorite stories? Please share!
