Summer’s Serenade

The night air hangs heavy,

Skin prickles as the drenching heat encases.

Stars pulse in the velvet sky, their heartbeat felt for miles.

An orchestra of sounds fill the deeping darkness.

Crickets play strings in tune with the frogs resonating bass.

Birds cheep and chirp their lullabys.

As the night stretches on, the sounds play on.

The South comes alive after the scorching sun bids goodnight.

Creation calls out to the Creator, shouting for all to hear.

Summer cannot be silenced nor contained.

Get lost in the music of Summer’s Serenade.
